Well, this post really isn't about wine ... although I have tried a few new ones lately that I will have to blog about, but the name(s) of the wines escape me at the moment. But that doesn't mean they're not good.
This post is about a sad thing. The University is building a new building in front of our building. It's a wonderful, big (but not huge) grassy area that is just nice to look at. On warm spring and fall days, you could find me sitting next to a tree, eating lunch and reading a book.
Not anymore.
They're paving paradise and putting up a parking lot.
OK, so it's not a real parking lot. It's really going to be a wonderful new International Studies building, and we hear it's supposed to have a coffee shop. But it's just one more pretty green space that is going to go away.
Maybe with more concrete my allergies will be better. Is that the silver lining?
